At Argos, we’re a digital-led UK retailer that keeps pushing boundaries to meet every generation with what they want, how and when they want it. As a market leader in general merchandise, serving millions of customers through our website, app, same-day delivery and Click & Collect services, we offer real opportunities to learn, grow and shape your career. With roles spanning Commercial, Buying, Merchandising, Design and Supply Chain, through to Digital, Operations, Customer Experience, Marketing, and People and Transformation, you will work with brilliant colleagues and directly shape how we serve our customers every day. From enabling inspiring choice across our owned brands, including Habitat, Chad Valley and Bush, alongside the world’s biggest brands like Apple, Lego, Xbox and Samsung, to making shopping effortlessly convenient, championing trusted value and accelerating our strategy - Argos is an exciting place to build your future.
At Argos, we’re building a Marketplace that gives customers more choice, better value and access to a constantly evolving range of products. A big part of that is bringing the right sellers onto our platform and setting them up for success from day one.
This Seller Acquisition Lead role sits right at the centre of that. You’ll be responsible for finding, attracting and onboarding high-quality sellers who strengthen our categories and accelerate Marketplace growth. Your work will directly shape the partners we work with, the speed we scale and the overall success of the Marketplace.
You’ll combine commercial thinking with a hands-on, delivery-focused approach. This is a role where you’ll build pipelines, engage sellers, and work cross-functionally to turn new opportunities into live, trading partnerships.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys the pace of business development, is confident working with data and insight, and wants to take ownership of a key growth area.
What You’ll Do
You’ll build and manage a strong pipeline of potential sellers, identifying partners who align to priority categories and can bring real value to the Marketplace.
You’ll lead outreach activity, developing clear and compelling ways to engage sellers and explain the Argos Marketplace proposition.
From first conversation through to go-live, you’ll manage the end-to-end seller journey, ensuring onboarding is smooth, efficient and delivers a strong first experience.
You’ll work closely with teams across Commercial, Product and Operations to coordinate onboarding activity, remove blockers and keep sellers moving through the pipeline at pace.
You’ll track performance across key metrics including pipeline health, conversion rates and time to activation, using data to identify opportunities and continuously improve how we acquire and onboard sellers.
You’ll play a key role in shaping and evolving the acquisition and onboarding approach, helping to simplify processes and improve the overall seller experience as we scale.
Who You Are
You’re a commercially driven individual who enjoys building relationships and identifying new opportunities. You’re confident engaging with external partners and influencing outcomes to drive growth.
You’re comfortable managing multiple priorities and taking ownership in a fast-paced environment. You bring structure and momentum, keeping activity moving while maintaining a high level of quality.
You’re confident using data and insight to guide decisions, track performance and identify where improvements can be made.
You’re a strong collaborator, building relationships across teams to get things done and deliver results at pace.
