This role is hybrid and can be based from either our Coventry or London office and home
About the job
As an Information Security Product Manager, you will be partnering closely with Head of Identity and Access Management. You will be responsible for being the liaison between Information Security, Technology and Business Teams, continually helping shape the vision of Information Security Products across the Group. You will be focused on understanding the security around Access Management, Identity verification and authorisation and will build and own the product roadmap as well as deliver the strategy for these products that support such as Privileged Access Management, Single Sign On and Multi Factor Authentication tools.
You will have a natural curiosity that you explore through experimentation and a flair for creative problem solving. You will lead a Team of Information Security Product Engineers and will be responsible for mentoring and coaching them.
As part of the Identity and Access Management Team, you will be owning Identity Security products focusing on Privileged Access Management, password storage and authentication solutions, such as CyberArk and Microsoft Entra.
Working in Agile teams, you will build highly collaborative relationships with your Engineering and business colleagues, supporting them in defining, delivering, and iterating features that delight our customers and stakeholders.
You will seek out a variety of data and insights to develop your understanding of the Information Security landscape using your product KPI’s to prioritise your roadmap & backlog effectively.

What you need to know and show
Essential Criteria
Define, communicate and deliver the Identity Security product(s) vision and strategy
· Own the Identity Security product roadmap and set expectations with relevant Stakeholders. This will include leading new security or useability requirements gathering and elicitation, co-ordinating and prioritising requests across a number of teams and Stakeholders to realise key business outcomes
· Partner with Engineering teams and key stakeholders to deliver Information Security products or complex changes, utilising appropriate delivery methodology, including agile ways of working in line with Information Security priorities
· Building and maintaining a good relationship with Vendors and ensuring that Product renewals are done in time
· Spot and surface key risks and issues early, building an effective approach to mitigation, securing support of stakeholders as and when necessary
· Plan significant deployments across a number of Information Security products, ensuring relevant dependencies are identified and managed
· Create and maintain roll-out schedules, track progress, update financial tracking (including Product Council), always ensuring key stakeholders are kept up-to-date and risks & issues are appropriately managed. Supporting with Audit actions and various other maturity assessments and staying on top of those.
· Managing a team. Which will involve coaching and prioritising Team members work and development to help them understand the rationale for a technical approach, surfacing and dealing with ambiguity and conflicting demands
· Conduct post implementation reviews to drive a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that learning is fed through the wider Tech approach to delivery
· Ability to collaborate effectively with a range of business stakeholders, and support the wider agenda
· Pro-active in tracking upcoming industry changes, interpreting how may these impact the business and have the ability to implement where necessary
Additional Criteria
· Ability to collaborate effectively with other teams and stakeholders where necessary ask the right questions to drive better solutions and can translate between requirements and technology delivery
· Demonstrate ability to build a roadmap and articulate a product vision using tools and methods, such as a vision board
· Ability to understand data thoroughly – use product metrics to prioritise effectively and seek out the right information to make strategic decisions
· Ability to keep abreast of product changes via vendor roadmaps and QBRs and be able to articulate the business benefits
· You are a team player, always up for contributing to building a great culture at Sainsbury’s tech
· You’ll have demonstrable experience of delivering technical programmes in an agile and product environment, with significant third party or deployment complexities
· Be able to demonstrate in-depth understanding of agile values, principles, practices and associated approaches as they relate to delivery management
· Familiar with key techniques and frameworks for structuring programmes, including effective planning, dependency identification and management, risk and issue management
· Able to participate in technical detail, where needed, showing an understanding of the technical landscape and can describe technical choices and trade-offs to different stakeholders within and outside of Technology
· Ability to proactively identify and own any issues and follows through to resolve them
· Ability to prioritise own workload and delivery quality results on time, and to budget
· Certifications such as CSPO, CIAM are desirable but not essential
