Please note, this role can be based out of our London or Coventry Store Support Centre & Home. Colleagues go into the office 2 days per week on average.

What you'll do

You will play a pivotal role in supporting and leading the creation of robust business cases and analysing Services & Propositions projects within the organisation. Working closely with the Commercial Services & Propositions team and various project teams, you will focus on value creation and strengthening performance across the board. Your responsibilities will include providing insightful analysis, commentary, and challenge to stakeholders, participating in core project group meetings to ensure rigour in business cases, and contributing to strategic decision-making processes by identifying risks, opportunities, and influencing key business initiatives. Your success in this role will hinge on your ability to deliver accurate business cases, translate data into valuable insights, and effectively communicate financial information to drive business improvements and decision-making.

Who you are

You are a professionally qualified accountant with a strong focus on driving financial and commercial performance through robust business cases and strategic analysis. With proven experience in interpreting data to identify opportunities, building financial models, and actively participating in decision-making processes, you excel in delivering change and influencing senior stakeholders. Your effective communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to navigate a fast-paced environment while managing stakeholder expectations make you a key player in translating data into valuable business insights and driving performance improvements within the organisation.

Essential Criteria

  • Professionally qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA)
  • Demonstrable business partnering experience within a Commercial Finance role; strong commercial acumen with a focus on driving excellent financial and commercial performance
  • Demonstrable experience in building financial models to assess the impact of new projects or business initiatives
  • Proven ability to analyse and interpret financial data to support operational decision-making
  • Proven capability to deliver and manage change within a business environment
  • Ability to communicate and challenge senior stakeholders effectively, adapting to audiences with varying financial and commercial knowledge
