Business Area: Nectar Partnerships

We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving impact through analytics, deriving insightful findings, and contributing to potential recommendations. This role requires a foundational understanding of coding languages, data visualisation, and analytical methodologies.

 

What we are looking for

  1. Analytical Thinking - Identify relevant metrics, analyse trends, and provide contextual insights to support business decisions.
  2. Data Visualisation & Communication - Present findings using appropriate visualisations and confidently explain insights to stakeholders.
  3. Project Ownership & Prioritisation - Manage analytical requests independently, assess scope, and balance ad-hoc demands with existing commitments.
  4. Technical Proficiency - Apply foundational coding skills, understanding of relational databases, and perform quality checks on standardised code.
  5. Methodological Knowledge – Have experience or ability to explain common analytical methodologies with accuracy and clarity.
  6. Operational Awareness & Governance - Recognize data limitations, investigate anomalies, and adhere to data protection and security policies.

What we would like you to have:

  • An innovative mind and a passion for solving problems
  • Interest and enthusiasm to write and develop code (ideally SQL or Phyton)
  • Knowledge of BI tools (eg. Tableau) would be advantageous 
  • Previous analytical experience showing application of insight to address business questions.
  • Strong communication skills, a confident curiosity to explore and understand analytical problems, with evidence of how you share insights with colleagues to achieve actionable results.

About the Team:

The Nectar Customer Analytics team is a central hub for data driven decision making, supporting the Nectar programme and wider business initiatives through analytical expertise. We work on high-impact projects that directly influence customer experience, commercial performance, and operational efficiency.

Our key focus areas include:

Nectar Fraud Prevention

Identifying and mitigating fraudulent activity using advanced data techniques to protect the integrity of the loyalty programme.

Campaign Planning & Assessment

Partnering with commercial and marketing teams to design, evaluate, and optimise campaigns based on performance metrics and customer insights.

Nectar Programme Health Monitoring

Conducting deep dives into customer engagement, redemption behaviour, and overall programme effectiveness to ensure long-term success.

Improving Nectar App Engagement

Analysing user behaviour and app usage to uncover opportunities for enhancing digital engagement and customer satisfaction.

Advanced Reporting & Automation

Building scalable dashboards and automated workflows to streamline reporting and empower stakeholders with real-time insights.

Cross-functional Collaboration

Working closely with teams across the business to solve complex problems and deliver actionable recommendations.
