Joining Sainsbury's as a Location Strategy Manager in the Property division offers a unique opportunity to drive strategic projects that shape the future of our estate, encompassing both Sainsbury's and Argos. Working collaboratively within the Location & Portfolio Planning team, you will have the autonomy to challenge existing thinking, analyse complex data, and provide valuable insights that drive commercial decision-making. With a strong focus on UK retail geography, strategic project management, and relationship-building skills, this role provides a platform for professional growth and the chance to make a significant impact on the company's property strategy and overall success.
What you'll do
You’ll play a pivotal role in driving the property plan and estate strategy through leading location and broader property projects. You will scope, structure, and deliver projects, providing robust analysis and recommendations. Collaborating cross-functionally within the organisation, you will engage with key stakeholders to enhance our understanding of estate performance, identify market trends, and seize commercial opportunities. Your strategic mindset, leadership capabilities, and ability to build relationships will be instrumental in shaping the future of our estate and challenging existing thinking across the business.
Who you are
You’re a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of UK retail geography and a strong capability in analysing large and complex datasets to drive insightful decision-making. With a proven track record of delivering impactful projects and programmes, you possess advanced analytical skills, including proficiency in tools like Alteryx, to enhance the understanding of estate performance and support the broader business objectives.
Essential criteria
- Strong knowledge of UK retail geography
- Experience of launching and running strategic projects
- Proven strategy development experience
- Experience of handling large, complex datasets & analysing using Alteryx or similar.
