What you'll do
As a Packaging Coordinator at Sainsbury's, you will work closely with the Packaging Technologist to support the implementation of the Packaging Strategy and drive packaging innovation projects to ensure safe and compliant packaging solutions. Your role will involve coordinating and reporting on packaging projects across category and cross-functional teams, updating packaging policies and presentation guidelines, and maintaining approved packaging brand standards and artworks. You will gather packaging data for compliance submissions, manage packaging component cost information, and support the packaging team in identifying and resolving packaging issues. Your excellent administrative, organisational, and communication skills will be essential in ensuring the smooth execution of packaging projects and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and suppliers to achieve company sustainability goals and targets.
Who you are
As a Packaging Technologist at Sainsbury's, you are a detail-oriented professional with a passion for driving packaging innovation and ensuring safe and compliant packaging solutions. With your strong administrative and organisational skills, coupled with excellent communication abilities, you play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation of the Packaging Strategy and facilitating packaging projects across various teams. Your ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, manage multiple projects, and make informed decisions contributes to the success of the packaging team in meeting company objectives and sustainability goals.
Essential Criteria -
Working 2 days on-site per week
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously
Can work collaboratively both globally and with your local team
Experience in retail packaging, printing or clothing
