Please note, this role can be based out of our Holborn, Coventry or Manchester Store Support Centre & Home. Colleagues go into the office 1-2 days per week on average.

In joining the Sainsbury’s Finance team, you will be working closely with a variety of stakeholders (finance and non-finance), at all levels, helping to support and shape the direction of our business. This role is within a team that dedicates in providing the best support to enable the best decisions to be made, for our customers and for our business.
Working with the Head of Finance Change, you will be responsible for supporting the Finance Leadership team to understand the demand, dependencies, and priorities on Finance, to shape and deliver our Next Level Strategy.
More about the role
- Create and manage robust reporting, capturing and monitoring change, impacting the way in which Finance works
- Connect & regularly engage with the wider Finance, Transformation and Tech communities, collating the outcome and share accurate Management Information to help drive visibility, align outcomes, manage dependencies, and encourage knowledge sharing, to enable better, faster decision making, prioritisation and demand on resources
- Demonstrate proactive drive, organisation and curiosity in your approach and will lead by example, championing a Transformation and continuous Improvement mindset and encouraging collaborative & end-to-end ways of working.
- Provide a Centre of Excellence for all Finance change related activities, connecting individual projects and programmes giving confidence and clarity around resource demand and dependencies
- Support the wider Finance Team on project and change management development
- Drive and support the creation of the Finance Leadership change governance agenda and supporting packs for distribution
- Manage and continuously improve the metrics, process & tooling requirements to support the best engagement and in capturing Finance change demand with key outcomes
More about you
- Experience of working on and managing multiple change projects and portfolios is essential
- Understanding and/or proactively seek to understand finance processes is essential
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, strong ability in story telling both verbally and written, with excellent levels of impact and influencing skills is essential
- Demonstratable presentation skills, with excellent forward planning and organisation is essential
- Proven track record of working independently, self-motivated and ability to manage own time, prioritise and respond accurately under pressure
- Curiosity and a drive to make things better
- Attention to detail, providing accurate and timely project & change information
- Exhibit a deep passion for continuous learning and seek to provide and share knowledge
