What you'll be doing
The Mid-Set Builder plays a crucial role in our set build team and at the photography studio by assisting with the assembly and maintenance of the sets used for various shoots. This position requires creativity, attention to detail and the ability to collaborate with photographers, Art Directors, shoot producers and other team members to ensure that every set meets the artistic vision of the project. Your role will contribute to the growth of the team and play a part in one of the largest studio operations in the UK media industry.
Who you are
As a Mid-set builder for Bradwell Media, you will contribute to the conceptualisation and design of diverse sets for photo shots, including in studio and eventually on location. You will help build and assemble sets based on provided designs, including backdrops and other elements. Making sure all the sets are built correctly, and this is done in a safe working environment ensuring that everything is built to the time schedule. You will have to adapt and modify set elements during shoots as needed to achieve the desired visual outcome. Work around and trouble shoot any issues related to the set build.
Having familiarity with carpentry tools and having a background from carpentry either collage or self-taught will help towards this position and the ability to move heavy materials and feel comfortable in working in various studio environments.
