Division/Department: Argos Central Retail & Change / Argos Transformation 

Location: Any SSC & Home – travel required for ad hoc project meetings/workshops & quarterly team meetings. 

Reporting to: Transformation Manager 

 

In a nutshell:

As a Project Delivery Support, you will provide comprehensive support in the management and delivery of change projects across Sainsbury’s Argo, a flexible approach is required and adapted to meet individual project needs. 

You will support with the execution of day-to-day change project activities to ensure the new business capability is delivered on time and within budget, and that target benefits meet or exceed expectations. Working and supporting process activities across transformation, including third parties and contractors, ensuring best practices are followed and the impact of changes is paramount.

 

What I am accountable for:

  • Work within the framework of best-in-class Project management and Agile methodology to ensure project delivery meets the agreed success criteria and aligns to the programme objectives. 
  • Support the scope, design and implementation of approved change projects within your business area.  
  • Identify opportunities to enhance and simplify current and new processes.  
  • Have a flexible approach to business and external requirements to support change project delivery. 
  • Development of strong business partnerships with other internal departments and external strategic partners. 
  • A self-starter, with the ability to engage and motivate your Team and internal/external stakeholders. 
  • Accountability for the completion of project reports and project governance documents which will be distributed to programme teams to ensure alignment across the project. 
  • Supports the delivery of project and KPI benefits realisation of projects. 
  • Supports enhancements following the transfer from project into business as usual. 
  • Coach stakeholders to ensure project outputs are introduced and embedded within the business to create a sustainable capability. Identify opportunities to coach and share knowledge across the whole team to support succession plans and limit single points of failure. 
  • The ability to influence at all levels and be credible in engaging stakeholders in project scope and deliverables.

  • Take every opportunity to engage with our customers, build their trust in what we are doing and what we plan to do in the future.
