Why join us

Joining Sainsbury's as a Central Merchandiser means becoming an integral part of a collaborative and dynamic team that plays a crucial role in enhancing decision-making processes within the GM Commercial division. As the Central Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in enhancing decision-making processes across the "Plan, Buy, and Sell / Move" cycles of products, working closely with Category and Supply Chain teams. Your responsibilities will include supporting the day-to-day operation of the Merchandise Financial Planning system, developing and deploying system enhancements, overseeing administrative functions, and facilitating the establishment of an Anaplan community within commercial merchandising. You will also analyse key deliverables, manage Argos stocking policy, review and improve forecasting, and collaborate with Central Merchandising leadership to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the GM Commercial business. Your ability to work on multiple streams of work in parallel, analyse complex data, and make timely commercial decisions will be essential to your success in this dynamic and impactful role.

Who you are

You are a dynamic and results-driven professional with a strong focus on enhancing decision-making processes within the "Plan, Buy, and Sell / Move" cycles of products. Your ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, analyse complex data to drive commercial strategies, and develop engaging content using various tools demonstrates your commercial acumen and proactive approach to problem-solving. With a customer-centric mindset and a track record of delivering successful outcomes, you are a confident self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced and complex organisational environment.
